Folk group "Horce"
Children's folk group "Horce" ("Little horo") was created in 2018 with the idea of introducing Bulgarian folklore to all kids in San Diego. There are two age groups: 4-8 years and 9-14 years. We dance a variety of Bulgarian dances ("hora") and some choreographies from all folk regions of Bulgaria, recreating and exploring Bulgarian holidays and traditions. We have performed at Bulgarian community events and a large folk concert in San Diego along with "Horotroptzi" group (LA), as well as represented Bulgaria at International Days in several public schools. In May 2019 we had our first standalone kids folk concert in San Diego.
