Being a teacher is a vocation. Being a teacher makes me happy. My childhood dream was to become a teacher. I accomplished it. Every single day I spent with my students, I was giving them part of myself, part of my knowledge and skills, and I will continue to do so, because that is my goal.
I graduated from Plovdiv University "Paisiy Hilendarsky" with a major in Elementary School Art Education. Then I continued in Southwestern University "Neofit Rilsky" to re-train as an Elementary School Teacher in Bulgarian and English. I have five years experience as a teacher in Bulgaria in the public school system and in the private school "Europe". When I arrived in the USA, one of the things that I missed the most were the children. I accepted with great pleasure the opportunity to teach in the Bulgarian School "Vasil Levsky" in San Diego. I am grateful for the chance I was given and I will do my best to help the children experience the beauty of the Bulgarian language and be proud of their Bulgarian heritage.
